Weight Loss Services

Weight loss management is a crucial aspect of maintaining overall health. Our clinic offers a specialized weight loss program that incorporates the use of Semaglutide, a medication that helps control appetite and regulate blood sugar levels. With our auto refill service, you can conveniently receive your medication without any hassle.

Semaglutide or Tirzepatide Treatment

We make weight loss treatment hassle-free. Even with improvement in diet and exercise, weight loss can be difficult. Utilizing Semaglutide, our medical providers can assist patients with this additional treatment to diet and exercise.

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist, meaning that it mimics the action of the human incretin glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), thereby increasing insulin secretion and increasing blood sugar disposal and improving glycemic control.

Tirzepatide is both a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and GLP-1 receptor agonist. Tirzepatide mimics the GLP-1 hormone and the GIP hormone. The GIP hormone can also trigger insulin creation and sensations of fullness.

How Does it Work?

Step 1: Medical Questionnaire

Start by contacting the office at (248) 853 5093. You will be emailed a form to fill out and provided email to send it back to. The doctor will review to determine eligibility in the program.

The doctor will contact you with approval (if applicable)

Step 2: Enroll In The Program

If our licensed doctor determines that you are provisionally eligible for the program, you will complete a quick and easy enrollment virtually. You can do this by selecting the weight loss product from our website and checking out

Once you are enrolled, your patient profile will be built out on our secure, HIPAA-compliant EMR.

Step 3: Get Labwork Completed

After enrollment, our doctor will order you labwork which will be sent to you as a PDF. Simply take this to the specified lab (typically LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics) and present it to them to have your bloodwork drawn. There is no additional charge to you for this service!

Step 4: Physician's Review

Once your bloodwork test is completed, it is sent to us from the laboratory. Our physicians will then review your results to further assess eligibility and, if medically appropriate, prescribe the Semaglutide/Tirzepatide medicine.

Step 5: Your Prescription Is Shipped Direct To You!

Once prescribed by our physicians, your prescription is sent to our partner compounding pharmacy. Our partner pharmacy will then expedite the shipping of your prescription and supplies direct to your doorstep!

Step 6: Your Bloodwork is Reanalyzed

In order to monitor your weight loss progress, your bloodwork is reanalyzed at intervals. This process repeats itself until you’ve reached your goals, or if our physicians deem it is no longer medically appropriate. Your health and safety is our number one priority.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long can I stay on the medication?

When utilized for managing weight, Semaglutide or Tirzepatide may be continued as long as it’s proving effective and is not producing any adverse or unwanted side effects.

2. What can make me not eligible for this treatment?

Due to data from rodents studies of GLP-1-mediated thyroid C-cell hyperplasia, the use of Semaglutide or Tirzepatide is contraindicated in people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma and in patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2.

3. How often do I take the medication?

You are going to give yourself a little injection under the skin (with the same small needle that you get your neurotoxin with) once a week.

4. What are the possible adverse reactions?

Semaglutide or Tirzepatide is associated with GI adverse reactions, including nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, abdominal distention, eructation, flatulence, gastroenteritis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.  It has also been associated with causing headache, fatigue, dizziness, and hypoglycemia in patients with type 2 diabetes.  Please discuss with your physician the contraindications and other warning and precautions before starting Semaglutide or Tirzepatide.

5. What will happen if I stop taking the medication?

It depends. These medications help the insulin in your body work much more effectively while you are on the medication. If you stop the medication shortly after starting it, you will see very little change. If you’ve been on Semaglutide or Tirzepatide long term and then stop taking it, the lifestyle component becomes crucial. If you’ve developed and habituated healthy lifestyle habits, you will likely succeed at keeping the weight off. This includes ensuring you eat a healthy, nutritious diet that is appropriate for your weight maintenance goals, exercising regularly, and getting enough refreshing sleep on a nightly basis.

6. How does Semaglutide and Tirzepatide work?

Semaglutide is a synthetic glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist that belongs to a class of drugs called incretin mimetics.  Incretins are a type of hormone that stimulate a decrease in blood glucose levels, such as GLP-1 that binds to and activates the GLP-1 receptor.  GLP-1 works to regulate ones appetite and caloric intake, and the GLP-1 receptor is present in several areas of your body, including areas in your brain responsible for appetite regulation. Semaglutide, as an agonist, binds to the GLP-1 receptor and works to lower blood glucose by stimulating insulin secretion and to inhibit glucagon release.

7. Do I need to follow a specific diet to lose weight while on Semaglutide or Tirzepatide?

We have found that the best diet for you is going to be one that is well-balanced, nutrient-filled, and calorically appropriate for your gradual weight loss. Which diet you choose to follow is going to depend entirely upon what diet resonates the best with you (because this is the one that you are most likely to follow consistently and consistency leads to success).

8. How long does it take for the medication to start working?

It gets to a steady-state in the body after 4-5 weeks. This is typically when patients start to appreciate steady weight loss. However, you may experience some nausea or changes in appetite and cravings immediately after starting the medication.

9. Why can’t I start off at a higher dose, like the 2mg per week dose?

More is not always better. Your body must adjust to the medication slowly. It is very possible that there is going to be some unwanted side effects initially after you begin the medication. More concerning than common side effects such as nausea, the risk of your blood sugar dropping too low and too fast is a significant concern. If this happens you can become faint and possibly pass out and fall. Due to this concern, we are going to titrate the dose of the medication up as it pertains to each individual patient.

10. What happens if I skip a weekly dose?

The medication lasts in your system at steady-state for about a week, but it can take up to 4-5 weeks for the medication to completely leave the body. Keeping this in mind, if you accidentally skip a dose, you can take it immediately once you remember and allow it to build back up in your system. If it has been over a week since you were supposed to have taken your last dose, you may need to step down your dose in order to get your body accustomed to the medication to alleviate any side effects. You are welcome to reach out to our staff with any questions that you may have in a situation like this.

11. Why do I have to get bloodwork done to begin this medication?

Bloodwork is crucial for us to ensure that we can safely prescribe Semaglutide or Tirzepatide. This, like any medication, has the potential for side effects and can place stress on your body. By utilizing a comprehensive panel of labs, we can get substantive information about the status of multiple organs and about how your body works together as a whole.

12. Does titrating this medication help mitigate side effects?

Yes. A slow titration, using the lowest effective dose, will be the best way to decrease side effects and potential for unwanted side effects.

13. I’m getting nausea, what should I do?

There are many ways to mitigate possible nausea from Semaglutide or Tirzepatide. First, eat absorptive foods such as rice or toast prior to your injection. Have a cup of ginger tea on hand, this is a powerful anti-nausea option as our ginger candies or crystallized ginger. Taking the injection before bed can also allow you to sleep through any nausea. Typically any nausea will abate within a day. We can also prescribe ondansetron to take if you are having an ongoing nausea reaction to the medication.

14. How long can I be enrolled in your program?

We require an initial commitment of 3 months. After that, your all-inclusive plan will continue at $299/month for Semaglutide. If you are on Tirzepatide, you would continue at the $549/month price as long as the dose is at 7.5mg or below. If you are titrated above the 7.5mg dose, the price will adjust up with the titration. This will continue to include the medication, supplies, ongoing lab work, and all physician fees. After the initial 3 months, you can cancel at anytime when you have achieved your weight loss goal or if you decide to stop taking the medication.
